Antique Key Machine Embroidery Design Applique Pattern

I saw the word "steampunk" recently and wondered what the term meant.  My curiousity soon had me googling...  One definition I particularly liked is that "it is an era or world where steam power is still widely used — usually the 19th century, and often set in Victorian era England — but with prominent elements of either science fiction or fantasy, such as fictional technological inventions like those found in the works of HG Wells and Jules Verne".

There is a wonderful element of romance and mystery entwined in this trend as well.  How much more mysterious is an antique key and all the questions its presence poses.

There are so many interesting ways you can use this design. Add it to a cushion cover or bed linen, a t-shirt perhaps.  Do you someone who's turning 21?  This is a perfect "key to the door" design.

This appliqué design is a delight to sew out. It features Triple Bean contrast stitching to give you greater freedom to coordinate this design.
